What I liked about the product
1. I like the material (soft foam) it is made up of, making it resistive to almost any kind of damages and even dropping it wouldn’t get a scratch on your VR headset.
The material it is made up of also makes it really comfortable to wear and I really like the way it could fit on anyone’s face. It is available in various different colors so don’t worry about the headset being purple in color(this was the major reason why most of them preferred other headsets over Merge VR).
2. It does come with head-straps which you can easily secure your head making it comfortable all the while you are involved in the VR world.
3. They have sliders to help you adjust the lenses according to the width of your eyes which adds up to the comfort level that is offered by the Merge VR.
4. You do have small vents for ventilation in order to prevent fogging while using the headset.
5. All you need to do in this VR headset is insert your phone into the slot provided in the front of the headset. It perfectly holds the phone due to the material it is made up of. I really like the way you can insert the phone in the slot rather than the tray system where you need to change the tray if you plan on changing your phone.
6. You could use any Android phone or iOS phone from the size 4.7 inches to 6 inches.
7. It does have dual touch input making it easier to click on something while you are in the VR world making it even more immersive.
8. It has a lot of supportive apps, games and is compatible with all the 360 videos making it an ideal option for a VR headset you can buy in this price range.
What I didn’t like about the product
1. While pushing the mobile device into the slot you can accidentally press the home button or the back button, this can be little annoying at times and hence making it difficult to again remove your phone and insert it back.
2. It can be a little heavy for extended use and it can easily fog up.However, it isn’t a deal breaker for people who would not use it for more than 30 minutes.

The Merge VR is one of the best VR headsets I found after the Samsung Gear VR and the gaming in this VR headset will take you to a whole new level.
The headset does really well when it comes to giving an immersive experience while in the VR world and does a great job with most of the games it supports.
A few games which are included in the merge VR are Dreams of Dali, The Walk VR, Valravn Panoramic POV, Cardboard, Goosebumps VR, InMind VR, Battleship Defense VR, Walk the tightrope, End Space VR, Isle of Jaws, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gunslinger VR, Gravity Pull, Cedar Point VR, Vegas VR, 360 Rise Festival 2015, Dino Trek VR and the list goes on.

If you have an iPhone or an Android phone and need a VR headset that comes close to the Samsung Gear VR quality then you must consider investing in the Merge VR headset. It is one of the best VR headsets giving you a great VR quality and an immersive VR experience.
I think it would be one of my top recommendations soon after the Gear VR, so if you cannot get Gear VR just because you do not own a Samsung phone then the Merge VR has to the next best VR headset. Overall, I liked most of the things about it from the pretty cool color to the foam material it is made up of, making it extremely comfortable to wear. I would really recommend it to people who actually are experts in dropping their gadgets (LOL, I do belong in this category) and I think it would be a good investment and last really long without any damages.
I do recommend this product because it provides an amazing VR experience and personally found the VR headset better than the Google Cardboard and a way better option than the cheap Chinese VR headsets. This gadget looks so cool. Looks something like what Samsung has when it launch its S6 though this looks heavy. I didn’t even know that this brand existed! The review is great and it sounds like something I would definitely be interested in. I’m currently looking into viewing some lower budget VR headsets for my son. He wants to be able to play some of his games and watch movies while being less distracted by the people around him (a.k.a. His Mom and Me bugging him lol).

I think based on your review it is worth the money. For less than $100 the VR headset is nice. It is good for light users of VR headsets for the people who are just new to it. I think VR headsets are the new gaming platform like you can do battlefield or call of duty in real life with VR headsets. How dow this compare to the latest Samsung galaxy VR and also the HTC vive who is for pc VR?

Hmm, the Gear VR is better when it comes to resolution and field of View, and it has games which are unbeatable.So yes, if you have a Samsung Phone which is Compatible with the Gear VR then I would buy the Gear VR any day. I really like the fact that this headset gives an experience which is very close to the Gear VR and it is not limited to Samsung phones.

This was my first VR headset buy. I got them a few days back and have truly delighted in them and so have my children. They are extraordinarily agreeable in light of the fact that the froth material they are made out of. I recommend this product to someone who is new to VR, it has got really good FOV and a pretty good content as well. I think the only product I liked after the Gear VR was the Merge VR and it was really a tough call between Merge VR and the other VR headsets, actually you can see my rankings for the smartphone VR headsets here.
But to be honest the Merge VR would be the best headset for someone new to VR.

It is indeed on of the best VR headsets I have reviewed and sadly you get it in purple and no other color. If the color really bothers you, then you could maybe try investing in the Samsung Gear VR as its price has dropped down to $60 as well! The only downside to the Gear VR is that you need to have a Samsung phone(only specific Samsung phones).
The merge VR works with any android or iPhone whose screen size ranges from 4.7-6 inches and it is pretty light as well.

With the release of these virtual reality gears, I’ve been interested in buying one to try with my iPhone, unfortunately I haven’t found any of quality ones that aren’t for Androids or Samsung. I love the design of this headset, the price is a bit high to me but it seems like a good product.

The Merge VR is actually one of the best VR headsets even for iPhone and I think it would be ideal for using it with iPhones since there are a lot of consumers who have loved the VR headset when used with an iPhone
My brother in law brought over a vr headset during the holidays and the entire family had a blast playing with it. I like the fact that the Merge is lightweight. I had a headache after using my brother in law’s device but I think that was because I was not used to the virtual reality and got a bit of a tension headache in my neck. Well, that totally depends on how long you use it and how comfortably the device was strapped on your head. Make sure the headset is not loosely strapped around your face because that can cause tension in the neck and maybe that induced headache as well.
I have never tried VR before. This product looks like a good entry-level device. I have always wanted to give VR a try, but most are just out of my price range. I also like that the the material is both light-weight and forgiving if you drop it. From what I understand, VR can cause some depth perception issues so knocking it off or dropping it is not out of the question!

Okay so now “Virtual Reality” has become affordable and also a Reality !!! It looks a little heavy and big, as compared to the other VR devices i have seen in Advertisements.
But since i am new to VR devices i will give Merge VR a try because it is more affordable than the other similar devices in the market .

I read your review about the Sony VR headset a couple of weeks ago and you had some great advice. I’m still on the fence with that one.
I just picked up a new Samsung S7 smartphone and wondered if the Merge VR headset may be a cheaper alternative to the Samsung Gear VR headset.
I like the adjustments and sounds comfortable and light being made of a foam.
Are there as many games or apps available using the Merge?

Haha, Yeah there are lot of games available on Merge. Although, there is an offer you could have availed since you bought a new Samsung S7 they were giving out the new Gear VR for a lot less than the usual.
But since that is gone, I think the Gear VR or Merge would be great but the Gear VR is slightly better than the Merge. DO go ahead and check out the Gear VR.
This is awesome, when I told my wife about it, she flipped over it. She is a big goose bumps and teenage mutant ninja turtles.
