Google Cardboard and Daydream VR are probably two of the most amazing headsets and they have their own significance when it comes to giving people a memorable VR experience.
Google Cardboard was inexpensive and gave a taste of VR to everyone who could not afford to invest in a VR headset as expensive as the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive.
Both the VR headsets have great content, however, since the Google Cardboard has been there quite long, the library has to be relatively huge in comparison to the Daydream, although the quality of the Daydream games is much better.
If you are looking for ways to play Google Cardboard compatible games on your Daydream headset then it is pretty easy to do. You can easily play the games that just need head movements as you do not have the magnetic trigger in the Daydream View.
You have a separate remote in the Daydream View which is compatible with the Daydream VR games. So, you can enjoy limited content from the Google Cardboard but even the limited library content of the Google cardboard is pretty huge so it is worth the try.
Once you insert the phone in the Daydream VR headset, the NFC pairing takes place which automatically opens up the Daydream app, so basically, you need to skip this step in order to run apps from the Google Cardboard.
So, you need to turn off the NFC and that’s it. That is all you need to do in order to go back and enjoy some Google cardboard games. You can turn it back on if you want to continue with the Daydream app.
So, to sum up, this is all you have to do in order to enjoy some content from Google Cardboard-
1. Open up the settings on your phone and turn off the NFC.
2. Next, you need to open up an app from Google Cardboard and get started with playing the game or viewing a VR experience of your choice.
