It is a bit late on the news, however, there is a lot more to the TPCast than I thought. For all those who are still unaware, TPCast Upgrade Kit is the new thing now which is going to make the HTC Vive wireless! Yes, no more cables fussing near your legs during a gameplay. The kit has been shipped in a few countries but it would still take some time for the consumer version to be completely out in all the countries.
The TPCast does seem exciting to all the Vive users since it promises one of the most important things that is holding you back in VR and that is the wired connection. Once you have started using the TPCast you would realize that it is much easier to move around wearing the Vive VR headset and the restrictions caused by the wires reduces.
The TPCast has been purchased by a few HTC Vive users, although it was a limited stock and hence they are now sold out. We would soon see its availability in a while and that would definitely pump up a few more Vive buyers, hopefully. There is a detailed review and first impressions of the TPCast by Upload VR and from the looks of it all I can say is it looks a bit cumbersome than you might have expected.
However, there are a lot of accessories that the Vive is gearing up for this year and they are the eye tracking peripheral, the audio strap and now the TPCast. The HTC Vive is not stopping at just having an amazing VR headset but is moving forward in the game with rapid constant developments. It would sure be fun to see where this VR headset would be in the next year and the improvements are going to be worth noticing.
However, do check out the trailer and let us know what you think about it in the comments section below!
