The most annoying thing that can happen to you during your gameplay is lag. Lag is so annoying and if it happens during the climax of a game then you feel like throwing away your Gear VR outside the window. So here are a few tips that can help you deal with Lag on Gear VR.
Like the pain caused by a breakup, lag too is inevitable. However, there are a few ways in which you can try to minimize this annoying situation.
Keep your Oculus Software Updated
This may not be something new to most of the Gear VR users but it is always better to have your software updated to the newer version which is more likely to have fewer bugs. Doing the constant update would prevent lag that could happen because of using the older versions of the software.
Another thing that you can take care of is to update all your games and try to avoid any kind of lag is that update all your games and other VR software that you use. Usually, the updated versions are more user-friendly than the older ones and if you want a lag free experience then you should take care of it and download all the recent updates to have a better VR experience.
Other apps
There is lag even when you have too many apps open in the background since there is a lot of space that is occupied by the other apps and games that are not in use.
You might want to close all the other apps since that just consumes a lot of space on your RAM causing slower running speeds of the VR app. You should close all the other apps in the background which can interfere with your currently running apps in VR.
This could even save some battery life and reduce the overheating issues that could happen due to too many apps being open at once. A small act of closing all apps that actually help you a lot to avoid any kind of lag during your gameplay.
Deal with the Overheating issue
The overheating issue in the Samsung Gear VR is one of the most common problems among all the Gear VR users and a solution to this problem can actually fix a lot of problems. Not only can you avoid any lag but it would also increase the gameplay by several minutes which is a huge advantage.
Most of the times when the phone heats up the apps start to lag and it becomes a really annoying to play with such a lag in VR. It is advised to let your phone cool down for some time between game plays and maybe keep a cooling pad between the back of the phone and the Gear VR cover if possible to actually help you successfully eradicate the overheating issues.
There have been a few fan covers which are specialized to cool down your Gear VR but they are for the older versions od the Gear VR, you can always use a cooling pad which is light and would cost you less than a $1 to get a quick fix to your problems.
